چکیده
Objective: To compare the clinical safety of laparoscopic (LRN) and open radical nephrectomy (ORN) surgery for large renal tumors (>7 cm). Methods: The clinical data of the 80 patients with renal tumors more than 7 cm who underwent radical nephrectomy during June 2010 to march 2014 were collected and analyzed. LRN (observation group) were performed in 29 patients, and ORN (control group) were performed in the other 51 patients, Compared the clinical safety and outcomes of surgery between the two groups. Results: Overall, 29 patients underwent LRN in the study period. The mean tumor size was 8.5 cm (range, 7.0–15.6 cm). The mean operation time was 105 min (range, 70–190 min). The mean blood loss was 300 mL, while four patients (13.8%) received blood transfusion, and two Patients were converted to open surgery. In the operative blood loss, postoperative drainage time, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative recovery time of intestinal were better than that of control group, The operation time was longer than the control group. Postoperative follow-up was 3–45 months. Conclusions: The retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy of renal cell carcinoma is a safe and effective therapy, and provides the oncologic outcomes equivalent to those of ORN.

Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for large (greater than 7 cm, T2) renal tumors.
PURPOSE Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy has emerged as a standard of care in appropriate candidates with clinical stage T1 renal tumors (7 cm or less). Herein we present our experience with laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for clinical stage T2 tumors (greater than 7 cm). MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients undergoing laparoscopic radical nephrectomy between September 1997 and July 2003 were retr...

OBJECTIVE No consensus has yet been established regarding the best minimally invasive access for radical ablation of renal tumors. Our objective was to prospectively compare the surgical results and oncologic management of two currently used endoscopic techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS Over a four-year period, 50 patients with renal tumors and clinical stage T1b-T2, smaller than 12 cm, underw...
متن کاملLaparoscopic versus Open Radical Nephrectomy in T2 Renal Cell Carcinoma: Long-Term Oncologic Outcomes
PURPOSE Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (LRN) has become the standard technique for radical nephrectomies for T1 renal tumors (7 cm or less). We extended our experience with LRN to T2 renal tumors (greater than 7 cm) and compared the efficacy and long-term oncologic outcomes with those of open radical nephrectomy (ORN) for T2 clear renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in the same period. MATERIALS AND...

OBJECTIVE To investigate the safety and feasibility of self-retaining bidirectional barbed absorbable suture application in retroperitoneoscopic partial nephrectomy. MATERIALS AND METHODS From Sep 2011 and Aug 2012, 76 cases of retroperitoneoscopic partial nephrectomy were performed at our hospital. The patients were divided into two groups: self-retaining barbed suture (SRBS) group (n = 36) ...
متن کاملApplication of renal-rotation techniques in retroperitoneoscopic partial nephrectomy
Retroperitoneoscopic partial nephrectomy (RPN) is one of the standard methods for treating T1-stage renal carcinoma, which has a narrow operational space and a difficult surgical procedure. The aim of this study was to examine the safety and feasibility of renal-rotation techniques in RPN. Between April 2012 and June 2014, the renal-rotation technique in RPN was performed in 22 male and 16 fema...
